Okinawa

This summer vacation was pretty active than usual for me. The one thing that didn’t change was family trip. My family goes to trip all together at least once a year. This time, as I said in the last blog, we went to Okinawa. It was our first visit to there, so we were all excited to go there, except my sister, Yumika. She was busy all summer joining her club, so she had to try to finish her homework during the trip. However, she said she didn’t finish them yet even now.

Arriving at Okinawa, we were so disappointed because of terrible rain. Actually, the typhoon was approaching those days, and that cause storm all three days! However, my father tried to make the trip fun for us.

The first day, we were planning to go to the beach, but because of the bad weather, we even couldn’t go near there. The hotel we stayed had a private beach, but we ended up to left there without going there.

The second day, we (except Yumika) drove to go aquarium, but the road was stopped because of the muddy stream! So we changed our plan and go to the Ryukyu glass shop. In there, we found the place that we can make our own Okinawa glass cup. Of course, we tried that. It was the day of blue glass. This is the cup I made. Isn’t it nice?? I love it!

The third day, we changed the hotel from near the beach to near the town. In the way there, we finally go to the aquarium. But since it was still raining, lots of people gathered there. The path was filled with people, and the children were flatted themselves against the windows all over. The only thing I was able to see clearly in there was Jinbei shark. We were ended up to be exhausted when we got out of there.

The forth day, sun finally appeared!! We (again, except Yumika) went to the beach, which located around southernmost of Okinawa. When we got off the car, we noticed that it was very windy, and feel bit cold. Even that weather, my father and brother run to swim, but soon, they came back saying “Cold!!” and run to the sea again. On the other hand, I didn’t swim, but I enjoyed walking the beach near there. It was the beach, which was not able to swim, so there were just a few people walking. After that, we picked up Yumika and went to Outlet. She doesn’t like where people gather, but she really wanted to go shopping. She didn’t buy anything, though.

The last day in Okinawa, we went to the Himeyuri and the other place, which had something to do with the war. We also went to the graveyard. In there, we were able to see the beautiful sea of Okinawa.

After I arrived at home at Tochigi, I tried bath scale, which is the toughest enemy in the world. Guess what. I gained 4kg in five days!! Because of the weather, we had nothing to do without eat and sleep. Moreover, I love Okinawa traditional food! I really want to go there again. Next time, I wish to have nice weather.

The glass is very nice! I thought you bought it when I saw first. The picture of the view is wonderful! I came to want to go to Okinawa. I hope the weather will be nice when you go again.
I didn't notice that you gained 4kg. So, maybe you don't need to care about it.
